arebyte Digital Art Centre in London explores how technology shapes contemporary culture through exhibitions and public programmes.

Founded in 2013, arebyte works with artists across emerging technologies, including AI, game engines, and virtual environments, supporting the production and presentation of critically engaged digital art. Its programme spans international exhibitions and collaborations, alongside studios, residencies, workshops, and artist development opportunities, creating a space for research, public engagement, and new ways of experiencing digital art.

Over the last decade, arebyte has worked across London to activate buildings and provide affordable workspace for artists and creative businesses. In partnership with landlords, developers, private owners, and local authorities, we deliver flexible studio provision in a range of contexts — from new developments to underused or transitional spaces. Since its establishment, arebyte has supported over 1,700 creatives through its creative workspace and art programme, building a thriving community of 175 artists, makers, and designers across the city.

arebyte’s work has been presented in prominent cities including Basel, Berlin, New York, Paris, Shanghai, Seoul and Vienna. Notable collaborations with leading cultural institutions include Ars Electronica, HeK, Serpentine Galleries, Tate, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

After 12 years in East London, the Digital Art Centre in Camden launched in 2025 marks a new chapter for the organisation, continuing its commitment to championing innovation and fostering creativity in digital art.
