Sade Arellano is the 2021 finalist from the arebyte, hotel generation. The programme mentors the next generation of UK digital artists, based outside of London, during the critical early stages of establishing a career in the arts.

In this fictional universe, a glitch created by a group known as the Time Abolitionists have ruptured a portal that connects, merges with, and alters every possible and impossible future. Through interviews, confessions, dream-projections, and ritual ceremonies, the work critiques and proposes radically alternative ways to reimagine our understanding of the Apocalypse, and how we find ourselves and our communities situated at the end of time in collective narratives of speculative distant futures.

This will take shape as video work, an augmented reality app and sculptural elements in the space.
